Social 1.0 provided an easy way for your customers to share their content, but not an easy way to monetize their content.

Local Groups: A local group is a new way (a Social 2.0 way) for both you and your customers to use your phone to interact with a city, town or neighborhood.
Social 2.0: Social 2.0 is a new and better way for local brands to spread the word about their brand and for local individuals to receive status, influence and compensation for doing the same.
The Future: The future of social for local communities will center around smaller, context-aware groups that exist to help people in their community to LIVE, WORK, SHOP and PLAY Better.

How does it work?
Users (brands and individuals) simply snap a photo of something that's happening (or will happen) locally that might help others to LIVE, WORK, SHOP and PLAY Better. Next, they simply share it with their network – no need to come up with something clever to say.

Each local group is open, dynamic, and familiar.
"Open" means open to the public (brands and individuals) to join, post and participate for free (no permission or approval required), but posts and community behavior are subject to our community guidelines.
"Dynamic" means a user can move dynamically from local group to local group based on their physical proximity to the nearest group (e.g., if you travel from one city or town to the next, then you are automatically placed in the group nearest your current physical location without a need to check-in or be approved by a group admin).
"Familiar" means each local group provides a familiar customer experience to the user (e.g., when you travel to a new town, city or neighborhood, you don’t need to create, join or be admitted to a group to be able to dine at a restaurant, shop at a store, visit a museum, etc.). Your physical presence grants you instant access to the majority of things happening around you.
